a community creating for the relentless return of Sunday

Prayer: personal, not private

God of Good News,
we are reminded this day
that our faith is always personal but never private.
Bless our worship this day that we might leave this place
to live out our faith in tangible ways that change lives.
In all that we do, may we do it for your Gospel. Amen.

CTW: water breaks forth

Friends, be strong and do not fear, for we are in the presence of God.
Waters shall break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.
The burning sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water.
God brings forth abundance where before there was scarcity.
There is nothing that is impossible with God.
We are gathered to share God’s blessings with one another.
Come, let us worship God.

Illumination: promise and blessing (for NL1 autumn)

Lord our God,
pour out your Holy Spirit on us.
Let us hear your promise in this Scripture,
and let the world know your blessing
in our lives.
We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

CTW: for the journey ahead

Come, children of God, and be welcomed here as you are.
We gather in this place to worship God and God alone.
Come, children of God, and be fed at the Lord’s Table.
We come to receive what we need for the journey ahead.
Come, children of God, and let us find the fuel for our faith.
We come to the Table to receive God’s blessing and share it with others.
Come, let us worship God.

Benediction: see greater things

Beloved, we have heard and trusted in
the good news of Jesus Christ.
Go now into the world to do and see still greater things,
to open heaven upon earth
and bear witness to eternal life today;
in the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Benediction: recognize Christ

We have heard and claimed God’s Good News in worship.
Now we go into the world to serve, to forgive,
to work for justice, and to give praise to God.
As we go, may we be filled with the Holy Spirit,
so we might recognize Jesus Christ in all people,
to the glory of God the Father,
now and forever. Amen.
