We sing because God does marvelous things!
He opened salvation to all and revealed his righteousness to the world.
Make joyful noise the Lord, all the earth!
We join in joyous song and sing God’s praises!
It’s not only us, but the sea, the rivers, even the mountains rejoice out loud.
The whole cosmos sings because the Lord is coming to establish justice on earth!

God of Sarah and Hagar,
We praise you for protecting and guiding us.

We thank you for liberating your children from oppression.

We bless you even in the midst of conflict.
God of Hildegaard and Julian,
We glory in your tangible presence among us.
God of Luther and Calvin,
We rejoice in your Spirit’s presence in all times and places.

CTW: wide and wonderful table
From east and west, north and south, we gather in God’s name,
to pray, to worship, to sing, to celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
We give thanks that we are part of a large, diverse faith family.
We are old. We are young. We come from tribes of all kinds.
We give thanks that God’s family is one of many colors.
From black to white to every shade in between, we are children of God.
We give thanks that the narrative we proclaim belongs to everyone.
We stand with our friends and family around the world, reclaiming the name of Jesus.
We give thanks for Jesus’ resurrection, a truth that tells us that God’s love wins.
We give thanks and praise to the Triune God: Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer.
Come, let us worship God and gather at God’s wide and wonderful table.

Opening Prayer: into your future
One: Show us your ways, O Lord!
Lead us in your truth, and teach us.
All: Open our eyes, minds, and hearts
to know your will and to follow it.
One: Reveal your vision for us,
and keep us focused and faithful to what you would have us do.
All: Bring us together to worship and work for your purpose,
and move us forward into your future. Amen.

CTW: handiwork and wisdom
The universe is full of God’s handiwork,
God’s Holy Wisdom is the source of life.
We celebrate your works, O Holy One,
for you are our Creator, your Spirit gives us life.
We will sing God’s praises as long as we have a voice,
We bless you God with our whole being!
